How does plastic get into our water and then into the ocean? Let’s say you always dispose of your plastic containers. Even when you don’t throw them out on the street but in a trash can, plastic breaks down into tiny particles that seep into our water supply, even when the plastic is in the city’s landfill. When plastic is not thrown away property, it is swept away during street flooding and ends up in our streams and rivers.
Plus, disposing of plastic trash costs money. Local governments handle this, and consumers pay, but not the big brands that generate plastic waste! We need events to promote the need for more businesses to offer San Antonio reusable alternatives to plastic.

Our primary purpose is to create awareness of the harmful impact of single-use plastic on the environment. We work with organizations to design new ways to replace Single-use plastics in our lives with other materials to make our help the natural ecology around us. Our strategy aligns with the growing zero-waste lifestyle where we work with innovators to change the throwaway consumer systems to a more thoughtful and earth-aware system, reusing what we already own or reinventing ways to ensure we’re not trashing our planet.
1. Sponsor Clean-up Events through donations and grants.
2. Promote local farmers’ markets for the growers, producers, and families who want to save time and money buying locally without all the plastic packaging.
3. Promote businesses that provide eco-friendly alternatives, such as Turn and others that create single-use plastic substitutes.
